  Neal, can you please elaborate what kind of formality you expecting to 
see? I am also curious how work from this JSR will be incorporated with 
other compiler extensions Sun compiler/jvm team is working on.

  BTW, slightly unrelated question, have you made any progress on 
compiler extension to support closures proposal?
