[Checkers] JSR308 Checkers Code Review

Hi everyone,

Here is the code for JSR308 checkers code review on Monday June 2nd.   
I broke into (in order of importance): core, checkers, utils.  Please  
revise the checkers paper just published recently (chapter 3),  
available at ~mali/public/jsr308-papers.

Also, can you please send me your time constraints for June 2nd?  My  
understanding is that Mike is unavailable between 11am-1.30pm EDT  
(5-7.30pm germany time).
